The treatment
What is Hyaluronidase?
Hyaluronidase is an enzyme that breaks down hyaluronic acid filler. On the body it is used to correct over-treatment or unevenness, or to remove filler entirely and reset the area.
Body areas usually hold much larger volumes of filler than the face, and there is a safe limit to how much enzyme can be given at once. Where the volume is large, dissolving everything in a single visit is not always safe, so we plan the reset across two sessions.
The method
How it works.
The enzyme is injected into the area to be corrected, usually through a cannula, and begins working within hours, with the area continuing to settle over the following days.
It is a sufficiently involved procedure, and we assess what is present and why before we begin, so the reset is controlled and the plan is clear from the outset.

What to expect.
Step 01
Your consultation
Every face has a story, and before anything else we take time to understand yours. We review your medical history, read your face in movement, and explain what we recommend and why, so the plan is clear before we begin.
Step 02
Your treatment
A patch test for the enzyme is carried out first. The enzyme is then injected, usually through a cannula, and the appointment takes around an hour. It is a sufficiently involved procedure, and we talk you through each step.
Step 03
Your aftercare
Light swelling is expected, and bruising is very likely on the body, so please plan for a little recovery rather than none. Your client care coordinator will follow up, and we provide clear guidance on what to do, what to avoid, and to hold off strenuous activity for an extended period. With the area reset and returned to its natural state, and a clear plan for anything that comes next, you can move forward feeling completely at ease.
