Biofiller.
Volume can be restored with the body’s own material. Biofiller is a gel prepared from your own blood plasma, used to rebuild soft, subtle volume without a synthetic filler.
The treatment
What is Biofiller?
Biofiller, also known as PRP gel, is made from your own blood. A small sample is taken from the arm, the plasma is separated and then heated and cooled to form a gel. The gel is injected to restore volume in areas affected by age-related loss.
It is not a hyaluronic acid filler. It offers an alternative for patients who prefer a treatment made from their own biological material, or who cannot have, or prefer to avoid, hyaluronic acid filler.
The method
How it is made.
A small blood sample
A little blood is taken from your arm, in the same way as for a routine blood test.
Plasma becomes a gel
The plasma is separated, then heated and cooled to form a gel, at the same appointment. It is never stored.
Tailored consistency
The gel is prepared soft, medium or firm to suit each area, then injected by needle or cannula.
A full-face treatment typically uses around 8 to 10 ml of gel.
Treatment overview
- Sessions
- A single session, or a course of two or three sessions, around four weeks apart. The number is confirmed at your consultation.
- Treatment time
- 1.5 hours, including the blood sample and preparation of the gel
- Downtime
- Many people return to normal activities the same or next day. Redness, swelling and tenderness usually settle within hours to a few days. Bruising is most likely around the eyes.
- Results last
- Up to 6 months, depending on the individual and the area. Maintenance sessions can be discussed at your review.

Best for
- Men and women aged 18 and over with mild volume loss or early signs of ageing, including those who cannot have, or prefer to avoid, hyaluronic acid filler.
Not suitable for
- Under-18s, and patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a low platelet count or a blood-clotting disorder, take anticoagulants, or have an active infection.

Step 01
Your consultation
We review your medical history, medicines and supplements, read your face in movement, and explain what we recommend and why, so the plan is clear before we begin.
Step 02
Your treatment
A small blood sample is taken and the gel is prepared while you settle in. We then place it by needle or cannula, area by area, at a considered depth. We never rush.
Step 03
Your aftercare
You go home with a full aftercare guide, and our client care team checks in with you the morning after. Your review takes place after the initial settling period, and we decide together whether further sessions are needed.

Restoring full-face volume with your own plasma
This patient had a full-face Biofiller treatment: a gel prepared from their own blood plasma and placed across the face to restore soft volume, without a hyaluronic acid filler. Approximately 7 to 8 ml was used in total. Results are subtle and settle as some of the gel is absorbed.
